Apple hasn’t revealed the 5s, 5c breakdown, but has admitted the sales of the latter have been somewhat disappointing. Still the numbers prove that the company won’t be just swept away with the green wave and can hold its ground pretty well even in tough competition.<br />Apple also managed to ship 26 million iPads in the same period, which is again an all time high figure. More good news came from Mac sales, whihc reached 4.8 million in the quarter. Although, the iPod sales were down 55 percent year on year.<br />Still it was a positive picture on the whole for the Cupertino giant, with net revenues of $57.6 billion. The profit was relatively flat at $13.1 billion. It’s tablet sales have nearly doubled from the last year, while the mobile sales are still strong (even after they took a little dip from last quarter). The mobile division’s overall revenue was down to close to $32 billion and the net profits off that were again down to $5.09 billion.<br /> One reason for the drop in revenue was the one time cost that came with Samsung paying bonuses to close to its 254,000 employees worldwide to mark the 20th anniversary since the new CEO stepped in and changed thing around in the company. Moreover, the NSA can reportedly hack a wireless network from eight miles away. Digital activist and security researcher Jacob Appelbaum claimed he had seen documents indicating the US National Security Agency (NSA) could hack into Wi-Fi connections from 8 miles away. That was way back in 2007.<br />In Der Spiegel, Appelbaum had disclosed information on the NSA’s Tailored Access Operations unit.
